Disposable Nappy Tax
The Department for Government and Education, DEFRA, has denied plans to impose and introduce a tax on single-use disposable nappies for parents in the UK.
A government source stated that the idea of nappy tax was a measure considered to encourage more sustainable nappy options, such as washable reusable cloth nappies.
The idea behind the measure was to cut plastic waste that is not recyclable and will sit in landfill for hundreds of years.
