Once your Roam pocket nappies have been washed and are dry, we recommend pre-stuffing the inserts inside the pocket and setting your rise height to make life easier at nappy ranges. The rise height will stay on this setting throughout washes and you'll only ever need to adjust these when your baby is ready for the next size up.
Our bamboo inserts snap together for ease. If you're using our pocket nappy on a younger baby, you may find you only need one of the inserts for absorbency. We intentionally designed the smaller insert in a countered shape to avoid bulk, Most babies will need both inserts after the newborn stage. Our nappies should fit from around 8-10 lbs.
Fitting Your Roam Reusable Pocket Nappy:
-
Lay baby on the open nappy, with the back waistband sitting just above the hips, where underwear would sit. The front of the nappy should sit below or just over the belly button— adjust the front rise setting if necessary
-
Lift the front of the nappy through the legs and pull upwards, fitting the leg elastics into each groin crease. Bending one knee at a time while squeezing the front of the nappy and pulling up and in towards the groin can help get this right
-
Keep hold of the front of the nappy with one hand, pull a side wing up towards the direction of the armpit and pull around to meet the front panel, fastening the hip snap onto the bottom row
-
Now fasten the waist snaps to fit baby and repeat for the other side of the nappy. Check that you can run two fingers between the tummy and the front of the nappy
-
There should be no gaping at the back of the nappy and the leg elastics should be flat — run a finger inside the elastics to ensure they feel snug against baby. Make sure the nappy is ‘tidy’ at the front and use your fingers to push any loose fabric up into the rise.
We include a folded and printed A6 cloth nappy guide with every order. The guide covers everything from the features, washing and fitting of your Roam reusable nappies.
